Italy phase #2 - 11 nights in Florence

my hotel in Firenze - 'A Casa di Dante'



Booking a hotel when you have no idea what its going to be like is always risky - but my auntie hit the jackpot finding me this one. Purtroppo there were no single rooms left available when i got there.... so for my first six nights i had the 'paradise suite'.



okay, so i had to climb 8 flights of stairs to get there, but it was worth it for this view each morning.



sitting on the window sill with a tranquil cuppacino... this one's for you ange, i still have my funky bit of hair in the mornings you'll be glad to know.



the fountain and archway of Piazza della Indipendenza, which i had to cut through each morning as i made my way down to the centre of the city for my daily casual aimless wander.
