...and the rest...

Palazzo Vecchio . The home of the Medici family - a wealthy family of bankers from the 15th century who are responsible for much of Florence's cultural, artistic and political development.

Another sample of Brunelleschi's brilliant ceiling work

The first known globe and maps of what had been discovered in the 12-1300's

This is how the United Kingdom had been mapped at the time.

Okay another slightly complicated family story. From left - Auntie Ruth; Velentina; Uncle Gino and Anna. Valentina is Anna's daughter and Anna is Gino's ex-wife (the mother of Alex). Valentine and Anna live in Ruth and Gino's apartment in Florence that they stay in when they come each summer.

Gulia and i with our romatic restaurant roses

This is the quantity in which Italians consume wine. no wonder, i don't know if you can quite tell from here but the price of these megga bottles is a modest Euro 5.40 (approximately $8.00). its about the same cost as mineral water.

My little jolly cafe where i jollied down to each morning on the way to the city centre

and my final heartbreaking jolly cuppacino made by a jolly young man who always gave me a lovely jolly chocolate design! (not customary in traditional italian caps, which i feel is one of their major shortcomings, forgiven only by the fact that they invented nutella).
