the big move!!

So it was goodbye to the dinky little university housing room i have been living in on the outskirts of amsterdam for the past 9 months...
and a welcome hello to a proper flat (with a seperate kitchenandbathroomandlivingareaand housemate and everything) nearer the action of the city!

for the influx of goods we have managed to collect over the past few months (dreading the megga move back to aus!)


first floor vertigo? pfft, not after moving from a ninth story place (jackson's holding my leg to keep me in place!). feeling very house proud and dutch i had to ensure our windows sparkled.


then it was off to ikea and leen bakker (= 'skinny baker'?!? a dutch version of 'fantastic furniture')
the lighting area was a little bright

and we came back with the bare essentials - this is our house mascot, heidi the haai ('haai' is 'shark' in dutch).

out to celebrate, we had a bit of a random night. we ended up at a gay club. but it's amsterdam, i guess its inevitable at some point. jackson loved it cause he never had to line up at the bar, they let him straight through! (think he was happy to avoid the 'private rooms' upstairs though).


this guy was quite happy to dance with us and pose for us. his name has to be Ken!
