road trip to copenhagen
Alicia, Wendy (her cousin), Han (Wendy's bf) and me went on a long weekend road trip to copenhagen.
so i didn't mind the 9 hour drive up from amsterdam; we got to see four countries in four days which was pretty awesome (holland, germany, denmark and sweeden - see the map at the bottom of the blog page to view my world coverage of places i've impacted).

what i did mind, however, was the ferry ride across the baltic sea. where they force you to get out of your car and 'enjoy the views' (sorry but you can't see the copenhagen boys on the shores from that great a distance). they don't consider the numbing need for socks as a sufficiently urgent enough reason to warrant an exception to this rule. so here i am. 'baltic' is one of those onomatopoeic words, isn't it? it just brings visions to my mind of burring breezy coldness and burning belching sickness over the side of the ferry.
wendy and han looking a little perkier than me.

our dusk arrival: this is the awesome view of the commercially lit city hall square. 'carlsburg' - probably the best beer in town'. i understand their caution in this statement. tuborg was better.

wendy and i outside the tivoli - an ancient amusement park which is a permanent feature of the city.

homeless people. in copenhagen they have no qualms over cooking up a hotpot of (whole) pineapple whilst posited in the main frederiksberggade shopping street. why not.

next morning. our view from near our hotel.

a random tree attacked by some anonymous artist.

the tallest person in the world. 200 kilos, 7.2 feet tall, and died at the ripe old age of 22 (every day from now on is a bonus for me in this case). we decided that this was probably the best exhibit of the guiness world records museum, and by taking this photo and reading the brochure, we felt satisfied enough to keep walking on by...

the beautiful canal side (in more ways than one) where all the funky bars are. and the sunshine was.
