***Cannabis Cultivating Competition***

Okay, i'm cheating a bit and borrowing Jackson' s blog title for this, but i think it has to be the official name for this project, plus you have to appreciate it's amazing alliteration. So i will continue to plagerise, as i give the reasons for our competition to see who can grow the best weed plant:

1. because we can - it's amsterdam (even though neither of us smoke it. ignore previous blog entry)
2. because its fun
3. because it gives us something to do (amidst work, courses, moving, festivals, holidays etc)
4. as jackson emphasises, because we can.
5... i also have sneaking suspicion that we have been in this country a bit too long and have been influenced by the clouds of that sweet smell that hang over the city...
6. because i know i'll win - we have spent the last 6 weeks of school teaching (or learning) about plants and how they grow.


so here we are, step one, purchasing our seeds, which involved a fair bit or research, there were about 30 different species to choose from! we chose a hardy indoor fast growing one - northern lights.


step 2 - planting. in cotton wool in a glass jar, in my cupboard innocently wedged between my honey and green tea (keeping the natural stimulants together).


can you believe it!!! after only two nights my first little shoot! i have learned so much from those kids books!! stay tuned for updates!
