phase 2 - sunday night...

More cycling shenanigans: setting off back to the action for pre-day celebrations. i thought i'd better master the dutch art of dinking. very hillarious trip in as i wibbled and wobbled and veered into bushes, with jackson holding on for dear life with one hand, and holding my skirt down in the breeze with the other.

time to reveal our true colours.

and, you guessed it, crack open a beer.

many of the streets were set up with stages and concerts, so there was no point thinking of them in the traditional way as a means of getting from here to there; you just have to go with the flow, party your way through and hug a lot of random strangers. half way through battling the crowds of this one it dawned on us that we were in the gay district. so how much more fun is that!

pausing for a pic, the journey was slow and steady.

a friend we made who danced us through the crowds to the next destination.

of course we had to pop in to the aussie bar to say hello to our scottish friend frasier. (the camera shutter was a bit gunked up with grog, but it creates a nice effect i feel)

time for a grolsch (it easier to pronounce after you've finished the can).

we found this funky little platform, which everyone else had walked past without seeing its true potential. so we turned it in to our own dance stage, with a great view of the crowds.

a funky dutch dj bopping to some of that cheesy funky house they seem to adore so dearly.
