tHe LoCAls

What a beautiful young chap... but honestly, i must question his motivation behind becoming a professional dervish whirling dancer with triple layered flared skirts twirling these circular decorations?? Surely he'd be better suited to some of the bars in Amsterdam...

A somewhat scarey belly-dancer on a cruise down the Nile.

Just driving down the street is entertainment in itself. bricks flying off the back of the truck? no problem, just stack them up as you zoom along.

we all fell in love with this modest, soft-spoken stone polisher who was the only shop-keeper who didn't hassle us to buy but patiently explained the various types of stones he had (reverse psychology - we walked away with a necklace and three pairs of earrings!).

Hand-carving alabaster vases.

Cruising down the highway.

Beggars at the Saqqara pyramids (this is why we didn't get front-on shots).
